immunity punch

Ingredients

For the Maple Simple Syrup

  • 1 cup maple syrup
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 4 sprigs fresh rosemary
  • pinch of sea salt

For the Fruit Punch

  • 1 cup fresh pressed cranberry juice
  • 1 cup fresh pressed orange juice
  • 1/3 cup fresh pressed lime juice
  • 2 tbsp fresh pressed ginger juice
  • 2/3 cup maple syrup, plus more to taste

For one cocktail

  • 1/3 cup fruit punch
  • 1 shot of vodka, gin, or tequila
  • splash of club soda
  • pinch of sea salt
  • blood orange slice, for garnish
  • rosemary, for garnish

Instructions

  • Make the simple syrup: in a small saucepan, combine the maple syrup and water and bring to a low boil. Turn off the heat and add the rosemary and salt. Let sit at room temperature for about 10 minutes. Remove the rosemary, and transfer the syrup to a heat proof bowl to cool to room temperature. Can be stored in the fridge for ~a week.
  • Make the Fruit Punch: combine the ingredients and adjust the sweetness to your taste with extra maple simple syrup. Store in the fridge. When using fresh pressed juice, it's best to use with in a day.
  • Make a Cocktail: fill a cocktail mixing glass or shaker with ice. Add the fruit punch and the spirit of your choice (or omit for a mocktail). Stir or shake until thoroughly chilled. Fill a rocks glass to the top with crushed or pebble ice. Strain the cocktail into the prepared glass. Top with club soda, a slice of orange, rosemary, and a pinch of salt.
  • For a batched cocktail: Multiply the measurements of the single serving by the amount of servings you wish to make. Combine juice and alcohol and chill in the fridge before serving. Add to a serving container with sliced citrus. Serve over ice.
